POOL - CHAPTER 10.05
POOL AND SPA RULES
-
1.The pool hours are 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. from Labor Day to Memorial Day and 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

2. Use of the pool facility is at your own risk. There will be no lifeguard on duty.

3. Only SSOA members OR tenants with a copy of a lease on file containing an assignment of rights, who are in possession of a gate key and are in good standing, may use the pool.

4. SSOA members OR tenants with a copy of a lease on file containing an assignment of rights, who are in possession of a gate key and are in good standing, are permitted up to six (6) visitors in the pool or spa area and must accompany said visitors at all times.

5. The gate key is not transferable and may not be given to those who are not authorized (see Access Keys – Chapter 10.15).

6. Children under the age of sixteen (16) of SSOA members or tenants with a copy of a lease on file containing an assignment of rights, who are in possession of a gate key and are in good standing, must be accompanied by a responsible adult or guardian eighteen (18) years or older at all times.

7. Children under the age of (18) may not bring guests into the pool area. Children aged sixteen (16) to eighteen (18) years must provide proof of age (Driver’s License, School ID, etc.) upon request of management, prior to pool entry.

8. No exclusive use of the pools will be permitted. All of the pool shall remain open for the use of all residents during all pool hours of operation (no baptisms, no school training programs, no triathlons, etc.).

9. Infants or children under fourteen (14) years of age may not use the adult spa.

10. All swimmers must take a cleansing shower before entering any swimming water. Cleansing shower” means the cleaning of the entire body surfaces with soap and water to remove any matter, including fecal matter that may wash off into the pool while swimming.

11.A person who has or has had diarrhea within the last two weeks caused by an unknown source or from any communicable or fecal-borne disease may not enter any public pool.

12. Any child under three years old, any child not toilet trained, and anyone who lacks control of defecation shall wear a water resistant swim diaper and waterproof Swim diapers and waterproof swimwear shall have waist and leg openings fitted such that they are in contact with the waist or leg around the entire circumference.

13. The pool operator shall respond to all discovered releases of fecal matter into a public pool in accordance with the following protocol: Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. The operator shall include in the records required in R392-302-29(2) information about all fecal matter releases into a public pool. The records shall include date, time, and where the fecal matter was discovered; whether the fecal matter was loose or solid; and the responses taken.

14. Diapers shall be changed only in restrooms or changing stations and shall not be changed at poolside. The person or persons who change the diaper must wash their hands thoroughly with soap before returning to the pool. The diapered person must undergo a cleansing shower before returning to the pool.

15.If fecal matter is found in pool, it will be closed for a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours for treatment.

16. Spitting, spewing of water from one’s mouth or blowing of one’s nose in the pool or spa is prohibited.

17. Foul and/or abusive language is prohibited.

18. Noise should be kept to a minimum.

19. Proper swimwear must be worn in the pool or spa. A t-shirt may be also worn for sun protection. Other types of clothing or apparel are not permitted in the pool or spa (cut-off’s, underwear, sweats, etc.).

20. Pets are not allowed in the pool or spa area.

21. Non-alcoholic beverages in re-sealable plastic containers are permitted in the pool or spa area, but not in the pool or spa. Alcoholic beverages, other food or chewing gum are not permitted in the pool or spa area.

22. Smoking is not permitted in the pool or spa area

23. Running is not permitted in the pool or spa area.

24. Rough play is not permitted in the pool or spa area.

25. Shoving of others is not permitted.

26. Throwing of objects is not permitted.

27. Flips or jumping backward off the side of the pool is not permitted.

28. Bicycles, skateboards or roller blades are not permitted in the pool or spa area.

29. Pool toys must be made of pliable rubber type or pliable plastic type materials.

30. Large pool toys, large floating devices, scuba tanks, kayaks, etc. are not permitted in the pool or spa area.

1. Access keys may be obtained at the Saratoga Springs Owners Association Office, 625 S. Saratoga Drive.

2. There shall be issued a maximum of two (2) activated access keys per Lot.

3. Only Saratoga Springs Owners Association members in good standing shall be allowed activated access keys.

4. If the Lot is under lease, the Saratoga Springs Owners Association member/owner may decide if the two (2) activated access keys that are allowed per Lot will be issued to the lessee or to remain with the Lot owner.

ACCESS KEYS

5. Unless contacted by the Saratoga Springs Owners Association member/owner of a Lot that has a new lessee, the two (2) activated access keys that are allowed per Lot will be issued to the new lessee and all other access keys assigned to the Lot will be de-activated.

6. Access keys may not be loaned to persons not of the owner or lessee’s immediate family.

7. Access keys may be de-activated for the following reasons:
1. Loaning of keys
2. Violation of Saratoga Springs Owners Association Governing Documents
3. Non-payment of dues, fines, or assessments.

8. A fee outlined in the SSOA fee schedule will be charged to activate an access key that has been de-activated for cause.
